Coastal Rowing Centre Activities

At the Coastal Rowing Centre we offer instruction, recreational outings and training sessions for beginners through to experienced coastal rowers. We are open all year and row almost everyday the weather allows.

We are developing our mixed-ability coastal rowing capabilities so that those with a physical, sensory or mental impairment can also enjoy the wonders of coastal rowing; please call if you are interested in booking.

The following outlines our standard lessons and outings; all start with a land-based safety briefing, followed by on-the-water instruction and guidance. If there is something specific you want to organise or you want to bring a group, let us know.

Booking is essential.

Please contact us with your enquiry and potential dates. When we confirm the booking we will provide more information on suitable clothing, health + safety and directions.

We row within Studland Bay and go further afield when the weather and tides allow. We combine technical, endurance and race training in singles and doubles. These are typically 10-15km rows so a good level of technique and fitness is required.

We are looking at the idea of :

2 or 3 x 60-90 minute outings for athletes who compete in coastal events.
It will combine technical, endurance and race training
£12 pp per outing – with boat hire from the Coastal Rowing Centre.

This is a primarily a car-top event for 1X and 2X (bring your boat on a car, limited space for trailers). At the moment we have limited capacity to support quads on road trailers.
