TRAILER PARKING:

Secure trailer parking will be at the SAGA offices in Sandgate, The Saga Building, Enbrook Park, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 3SE. Parking is available from 19:00 on Friday 4th Sept to Sunday 6th Sept.

TRAILER UNLOADING !!

You will need to report to the Parking Marshall in the SAGA Parking area to request access to the regatta enclosure. Access will be granted if the enclosure co-ordinator considers that there is enough personnel available from your club to "quickly" unload your trailer and remove it from the enclosure in 15mins. Access will be granted between 07:00 and 09:30 so be sure to be early. A simliar process will occur at the end of the regatta where the first clubs in will be given preference.

Organizing Body

Folkestone Rowing Club is working with the Coast Amateur Rowing association to host the 2009 South Coast Rowing Championships.

The 2009 Event

The date of the Regatta is set for the 5th September 2009 to suit the tides at the three locations. The event is being based on the successful 2001 championships. The main Course being at Folkestone with secondary courses at Deal and Herne Bay. The local club in each case being responsible for there part of the organization.

The Course

There are a few minor changes to the course at Folkestone based up the experiences of 2001. The competitors will be moved nearer the clubhouse to assist in the communication to them. The finish is 50 meters further on at Sandgate Castle. The course is straight with no advantage to any position.
